Steve Smith

Musician, composer and teacher Steve Smith has performed professionally for eighteen years. A native of Virginia, Steve relocated to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1985. His varied musical background includes experience as a stage performer, teacher, recording artist, and host for the "Back Porch" radio show featuring traditional and new acoustical music on KRWG-FM.

Steve has toured seven European countries, forty sates, Cuba, and the US Virgin Islands. He has appeared in the national touring company cast of the Harry Chapin musical "Cotton Patch Gospel" as an actor and multi-instrumentalist and appeared in the off-broadway hit "The Robber Bridegroom" in Virginia. He has shared the stage with Robin and Linda Williams, Peter Rowan, Vassar Clements, Allison Krauss, New Grass Revival, Hot Rize, and Bill Monroe and the Bluegrass Boys.
